Connection Requirements

Some online classes require newer software versions and computers with more memory than listed below. Check the specific connection requirements for the online class you intend to take.

MINIMUM SOFTWARE NEEDED:

	(Mac) System 7.5	OR	(PC) Windows 95
And	Netscape 4.0 or higher	OR	Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher

MINIMUM HARDWARE NEEDED:

IBM	Pentium with 32 Mbytes of RAM, Windows 95, and a 28.8 modem.
MAC	Power Mac or better with 32 Mbytes of RAM, System 7.5 or higher and a 28.8 modem.
BOTH	We recommend that you get the fastest multimedia computer and as much RAM as possible.
MODEM	We recommend that you get the fastest modem possible for the web access

INTERNET ACCOUNT:

You need to have an Internet Service Provider

OR you need to be able to come into the computer labs at PVCC to access the web
