Unique
Characteristics of Online Courses
Online courses are no different
in content (no harder and no easier) than traditional
courses offered at PVCC. However, online courses may
not be right for all students. Online courses were designed
to fit the needs of student who choose to use technology
to learn at a distance including students who have time
constraints, work schedule conflicts or family obligations.
To be a successful online student, one must be a self-starter,
an
independent learner, highly self-motivated, a good
time manager and self-disciplined enough to work independently
and complete course work and assignments according
to the course syllabus.
