Environmental Health and Safety Technology

The mission of the Environmental Health & Safety Technology program at PVCC is to meet employers' demands for qualified, trained, environmental professionals. The program consists of an Environmental Health & Safety Certificate program and an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree program.
PVCC is a member of the Community College Consortium for Health and Safety Training, one of 20 model worker training programs recognized by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

The college works closely with the Hazardous Materials Training and Research Institute, which provides technical assistance and training for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

PVCC is developing a full spectrum of both worker health and safety courses and environmental technology offerings to meet the educational needs of industry, small business and regulatory agencies.
