course which focuses on the reciprocal nature of reading and writing
poetry as well as acquiring a "critical vocabulary"
for the appreciation of poetry. Examines the technical, cultural
and aesthetic sources of established poets as well as work produced
by student writers. Explores the creative writing process as well
as poetic themes, styles and perspectives that contribute to the
writing of original student poetry. Prerequisites: None. |
