Background
– Both my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and my Master
of Arts in the Teaching of Mathematics degrees are from Northern Arizona University. I have taught
mathematics for twenty three years - twelve years at the high school
level and the last eleven years at community colleges.
Philosophy
& Goals - Knowledge of mathematics
empowers individuals! The more mathematics you know, the more problems
you can solve – both in your chosen careers and in your everyday
life. I believe all students can learn mathematics when given an
appropriate learning environment. My goal is to provide the best
learning environment possible – a caring and comfortable
atmosphere where students find concepts and applications that are
relevant, interesting, or just plain fun, where students are actively
involved in learning, and where students are comfortable asking
questions and demonstrating their level of understanding. I am
dedicated to student learning and committed to providing every
opportunity for student success.
